In 1977, Pintomeira attends a Filmmaking course at the CREA - Cultureel Studentencentrum van de Universiteit van Amsterdam and decides to experiment with Photography, choosing portrait and nature as his areas of interest. His wife Marijke is his model in most of his black and white photographs. The works presented here are, mostly, multi exposure photography technique. After making a pencil sketch on regular paper to arrange the different images in the desired composition, the artist combines two or more frames without rewinding the film. Sometimes, the process of shooting overlapped frames is randomly and the final result is, most of the times, very interesting and magical.
